Ruth Ione Ray

Ruth Ione Ray, long time resident of Royal City, WA, passed away on April 2, 2011 of natural causes at Avalon Care Center in Othello, WA

Ruth was born in Coquille Oregon on May 16, 1920 to Gladys and Earl Graham. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Cal Ray and her daughter Jackie Corner.

Ruth is a 1994 Inductee of the Trapshooting Hall of Fame in Vandalia Ohio. www.traphof.org/Inductees/Ray-Ruth.html She was an avid and accomplished league bowler in Seattle, Washington. She loved to go Trout fishing, garden, and cook with the help of her love for cook books and anything else that looked like a recipe. While living in Royal City, Ruth volunteered at the local food bank.

Ruth was a loving friend. Those who knew her loved her and will miss her dearly.

Ruth will be laid to rest at Acacia Memorial Park in Seattle, Washington next to her beloved husband Calvin Dell Ray. A graveside service will be on April 29th at 11:00 a.m.
