Michael graduated from Moses Lake High School with Honors, Magna Cum Laude from Washington State University, and received his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Kansas Law School. Michael married Linda Olson July 20, 1974 in Edmonds, WA. He served Grant County as a dedicated attorney at law for many, many years; he served as a judge pro tem, and was very conscious in serving those less fortunate, often providing work pro bono. He volunteered and supported the Fatherhood initiative. He was very active in the Boy Scouts of America, serving as a longtime Scout Master, which he loved. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, Ducks Unlimited, University of Kansas Alumni Association, Washington State Bar Association, lifetime member of the Washington State Alumni Association, and Washington Defender Association. His favorite colors were WSU's crimson and gray, and blue. He loved classic rock-n-roll, House of the rising sun, classical and country music. He enjoyed camping, hunting, traveling, coaching, horse racing, music concerts, movies, sports - especially baseball, softball and football, watching the Green Bay Packers and his beloved WSU Cougars play. His family, children and grandchildren were of utmost importance in his life, and he treated his pets as his own children. He had a big heart and was loved and respected by so many.

Lewis, WA, daughter Sarah Aiken of Ephrata, WA; grandchildren David and Nea's children Keaton Duff, Fort Bragg, NC, Karter Duff, Kinkade Duff, Kolby Aiken and Kawika Aiken all of Ft.
