NOTICE TO BIDDERS: Sealed bids will be received from contractors

by the City Engineer, City of Moses Lake, 321 South Balsam St.,

P.O. Box 1579, Moses Lake, WA 98837 until 10:00 am, Wednesday, May

18, 2011 for the Central Operations Facility Improvements. All bids

shall be received in sealed envelopes with “CENTRAL OPERATIONS

FACILITY IMPROVEMENTS” marked plainly thereon.

NOTICE TO BIDDERS: Sealed bids will be received from contractors by the City Engineer, City of Moses Lake, 321 South Balsam St., P.O. Box 1579, Moses Lake, WA 98837 until 10:00 am, Wednesday, May 18, 2011 for the Central Operations Facility Improvements. All bids shall be received in sealed envelopes with “CENTRAL OPERATIONS FACILITY IMPROVEMENTS” marked plainly thereon. The Improvements involve construction of headworks, HDPE lined wastewater storage basin, structural concrete, a pre-fabricated metal building shelter, electrical controls, instrumentation, yard piping, and related work. Said bids will then and there be opened and read aloud. Bidders and other properly interested parties are invited to be present at the bid opening. Bids received after the time fixed for opening cannot be considered.

The Contract Documents may be obtained from Wilson Engineering, L.L.C., 805 Dupont Street, Bellingham, WA 98225. Please contact Jeff Christner or Scott Wilson, Wilson Engineering, (360)733-6100, for project information. There is a $100 non-refundable charge for the Contract Documents. Only bids from bidders who have purchased plans and specifications from Wilson Engineering, L.L.C. will be accepted. Copies of plans and specifications are on file for review at various construction councils.

A deposit in the form of a postal money order, cashier’s check, or bond in the amount of 5% of the greatest amount bid must be submitted with each bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into a contract of furnish a satisfactory contact bond within the time stated in the specifications, the deposit shall be forfeited to the City.

The on-site contact is Richard Law, P.E., Project Engineer, City of Moses Lake (509)764-3783. There will be a pre-bid meeting for the Project held at 2:00 pm May 4, 2011 on site.

The City shall reject any bid not accompanied by bid security. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids if such action is in the best interest of the City. The project will be funded by the City of Moses Lake. Neither the State of Washington nor any of its departments or employees are, or shall be, a party to this contract or any subcontract resulting from this solicitation for bids. All bidders must be licensed contractors registered in the State of Washington. All work performed on this project will be subject to prevailing state wage rates.
