Warren Strader
Warren Strader, 71, Moses Lake resident and formerly of Othello passed away from heart failure, Wednesday, April 14, 2011 with his wife Gladys and his grandson Curtis by his side, Warren passed peacefully. A memorial service was held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Kayser's Chapel. Warren was born on January 3, 1940 in Galahad, Alberta Canada to Donald and Mae Strader.
After leaving Canada in 1957, traveling to Washington, and settling in CA, he joined the Navy in 1959 at the age of 18. 2 years later he married the woman of his dreams, Gladys Marie Christman, and had 4 wonderful children.
After leaving the navy in 1965, he moved his family to Denver, where he worked at Safeway.
After losing his mother in 1965, and his father in 1975, he moved his family back to Washington.
Eventually he settled his family in Othello Washington, where he then worked at East Columbia Irrigation District. He retired from the District in 2002, where he then settled in Moses Lake for the remainder of his life.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years Gladys, Children Mitzie Strader (Troy Latham), Warren (Annah) Strader, Myrna (Bill) Purcell, and Tammy (Todd) Perry.
Brothers, Delmar (Bea), Douglas, Eugene (Christina), Vern (Barbra), Sisters, Donna (Larry), Claudia (Larry), Debbie, and Dorothy (Roger).
Grandchildren, Curtis Baker, Billy (Shanna) Purcell, Matthew (Shatame) Purcell, Marie (Aaron) Nicholas, Ashley (Eric) Hector, Teddy Simpson, Darren Eilbes, Kirsten Perry, Amanda Pelot, Brianna Strader, Shelby and Katie Perry, Great Grandchildren, Trinity, Ryan, Izabel, Stephen, Caden, Anderson, Piper, Carson, and Mattie-Lynn.
He is proceeded in death by his parents Donald and Mae Strader, Brother in law Nat Bopp, and Great Granddaughter Mystic Simpson.
