Students help Japan

MOSES LAKE - Who would have thought a small origami crane could represent a large clothing donation for struggling children?

The creative idea, spurred by kid's clothing company OshKosh B'Gosh, is doing exactly that with the help of Moses Lake High School students.

For each crane made, up to a total of 50,000, OshKosh B'Gosh donates clothing to Japanese children. 

Moses Lake students made cranes Friday to aid Japanese children impacted by the nation's earthquakes, tsunami and nuclear disaster.

Led by advisor Heather Whittall, honor society students helped facilitate teaching other students how to make the cranes.

The cranes were later photographed as proof and posted on the company's Facebook page, www.facebook.com/oshkoshbgosh.
