EPHRATA - For pet owners interested in convenience, Grant County dog licenses are being made available through the mail, according to Sheriff Tom Jones.

Until now, county dog owners have had to travel to the county seat for licenses. The new system will save dog owners time and gas money.

To take advantage of this program, visit the sheriff's website www.co.grant.wa.us/Sheriff and click on "dog licenses."

The sheriff's office handles dog licensing for unincorporated areas of the county.
