QUINCY - The Quincy Jacks' supremacy at the top of the Central

Washington Athletic Conference (CWAC) appears to be in

jeopardy.

Last night, the two-time defending league champs, fell behind early

and never recovered in a 3-0 loss to East Valley.

QUINCY - The Quincy Jacks' supremacy at the top of the Central Washington Athletic Conference (CWAC) appears to be in jeopardy.

Last night, the two-time defending league champs, fell behind early and never recovered in a 3-0 loss to East Valley.

"It was a complete meltdown," Quincy head coach Thomas Turner said. "It's getting frustrating."

East Valley scored in the ninth, 24th, and 28th minutes of the first half and Quincy (5-5, 0-3) never recovered.

"They are very good and they transition and come in as a group," Turner said. "They have eight, nine guys in the box all the time. Defensively, they read the ball well and bring the line up and there isn't much they allow you to do."

Now Quincy will have to find a way to right the ship as even a district playoff spot could slip from their reach.

"The biggest issue is that players are starting to lose confidence in themselves and chirping at each other," Turner said. "They need to just jump in there and get things done. They just need to play their best. On offense we aren't scoring so they are getting  frustrated. If they can just get the idea of playing hard and the best they can, win or lose, they play the game they need to play and that's all the matters."
