Richard Earl Simmons

Richard Earl Simmons, 59, longtime Moses Lake resident, passed away quietly in his home Sunday, March 27, 2011 in Moses Lake. Richard was born July 15, 1951 in Ephrata, WA.

Richard grew up in Moses Lake and graduated from Moses Lake High School. He worked for his father as a Merchant Police Officer, he also proudly volunteered many hours as a volunteer Firefighter, for which he was very proud. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge and the local Square Dance group, which he thoroughly enjoyed, and he performed at several local community events. 

Richard is survived by one daughter, Miranda Simmons, two brothers Duane Simmons of Moses Lake and Jack Simmons of Aberdeen, WA, one sister Penny Engle of Colorado, three nieces Stacey and Colby Clasen of Moses Lake, Trecey and John Ring of Shelton, WA, Jackie Score, and one nephew, Jeff and Wendy Simmons of Aberdeen, WA. Two great nephews Chase Clasen and Joshua Ring, three great nieces Alexxa Ring, Skyler and Santana Clasen. 

Richard was preceded in death by his father Richard L. Simmons and his mother Norma E. Simmons. 

Richard went home to be with his dear family. He will be sadly missed.

A Memorial service will be held at a later date.
