Warden golf teams perform well against Quincy

CRESCENT BAR - The Warden Cougars boys golf team continued it's strong start on the season with a resounding performance at the Crescent Bar Golf Course on Tuesday.

Warden shot a 353 team score to outdistance themselves from the host Quincy Jacks and their 402.

Medalist, Brandon Wurzer led his Cougars team with a score of 84 while the other Warden golfers on the final record also did quite well.

Caleb Caballero (87), Trent Bates (91), and Conrad Ruge (91) were the other Warden scorers to help lead the Cougars' win.

Quincy was led by Aaron Greenwalt's 88, while Kip Slusher (100), Josh Schwint (107) and Breck Field (107) rounded out the rest of the scoring for the host Jacks.

The Warden Lady Cougars also took top honors on Tuesday as well with a resounding 419-468 win over Ellensburg, while Quincy only had two golfers compete.

Lara Crow led Warden with a 99 as Carter Marks' 102, Taylor Edson's 108, and Brittany Stavig's 110 rounded out the team's scoring.

Quincy's Kaitlyn Coleman (137) and Janet Mendoza (151) were the only two golfers to perform against the other two teams.

Ellensburg's Jessica Schademan was the meet's medalist with a score of 97 to lead the Bulldogs who's other golfers shot 100-plus.
