Reader unhappy with Moses Lake's fees

Once again, the taxpayers of Moses Lake, not Grant County, are jabbed with another increase in fees. Don't you worry, it's only 30 cents a month! You build and build but don't worry, the citizens of Moses Lake can take it! It's only another 30 cents, another $11.80, another $5.50, another $3, plus taxes. 

Don't worry. No one will notice. Nobody reads the paper. No one pays attention. We'll just slip one more fee on the people. 

They, the people, are all too worried about not having a job, losing their houses, all the state budget problems, gas prices and on and on and on. Just what we need, a bigger city hall for all you over-paid bureaucrats. 

Do all the coffee huts and gyms in Moses Lake, who pay their taxes, permits, do you know the city is putting a coffee shop and gym in their new exclusive building? That does not even seem legal for a city with tax dollars, competing against their own constituents. 

We are in a recession. Apparently you have not noticed. 

Thank you Dr. Curnel and Brent Reese for sticking up for the people of Moses Lake. 

All the rest of you are just status quo. What ever Joe wants, Joe gets. We thought you would be different Karen, but apparently not. Dick Deane, I thought you were different too but this all makes me kind of ill. 

Does the taxpayer ever get anything back? Oh, yeah, 46 cents on recycling. Woohoo! It's getting so hard to keep you all in the style you have become accustomed to. Just how many steaks can you eat in a week?
