Reader upset about change in law

You've got to be kidding, right? You're comparing the panhandlers on the corners to the good of the fire department and the motorcycle group that collect money and toys to help out needy families? Who thinks up this stuff? There is no comparison! 

They are doing this to help out families who can't afford things other people can! 

I've given food to these people before and had it thrown back to me because they want cash. 

What a stupid idea this is. I guess we'll just take donations straight to the fire department from now on if this dumb idea is passed! I hope other people in this community are as outraged as I am about this. I can't even believe this was in the paper!
