Reader supports Craig Morrison

I attended the candidate's forum put on by the Republican Women recently and found it to be very informative.

However, I was not impressed with what the present coroner, Dave Matney, had to say in his behalf in his bid for the coroner's position.

He has absolutely no medical education. His experience and knowledge has nothing to do with the coroner's office. It makes me wonder why he was appointed to this office in the first place. Sounds to me like he belongs to what is known as the "good, old boys club." It's not what you know, but who you know.

According to him, his experience is all in the law enforcement field and, in my opinion, he should be trying for the sheriff's office.

Craig Morrison is, by far, the most qualified for the coroner's position. Certainly Craig has the compassion for this job, after having dealt with 6,000 decedents.

He has studied anatomy, physiology, and forensic pathology, none of which the present coroner has in his background.

I urge everyone to vote for Craig Morrison, who has proven to be the most qualified.
