Reader voting for Dave Matney

I am writing this letter of support to endorse Dave Matney for the position of Grant County Coroner. I have known Dave for the past twelve years, and personally feel he is one of the most knowledgeable and experienced law enforcement officers in this county. I still turn to him for advice.

I have always believed the best way to gauge one's success when seeking a position is to ask yourself, who would you pick to get the job done? Irrevocably, that person is Dave Matney.

One example of what Dave means to the citizens of Grant County is the professionals from every division of Grant County filling the sheriff's office to capacity to send him off. Most of them were wondering how they would ever fill such a large void. Thankfully, Dave has remained available to our office and our citizens, and lends his expertise whenever needed.

I believe the job of coroner brings many great challenges and requires vast experience. Dave has demonstrated his ability to not only do the job, but to excel at it. I have worked many cases and scene investigations with Dave, and find his death investigation experience to be unparalleled. His reputation in the investigative community is beyond reproach.

Dave Matney has dedicated his entire career to the citizens of Grant County and his fellow colleagues. Dave still answers the call day or night and can always be counted on.
