Reader endorses Craig Morrison

What can one learn from a guy who chooses to wear a tie-dyed T-shirt when he is not wearing his tie and sport coat?

At a recent VBS, one of the craft projects was to create a tie-dyed wind sock. As I was visiting a family whose son had made one, the parents had proudly displayed the wind sock in their back yard. This boy's parents were pleased with their son's individual work.

A study of early American history shows that individuality was a chief characteristic of the day. Even today the American spirit is one of individuality, yet united. An individual is someone who does not march to the beat of the same drum as others. There is value in being a team player, but in a day when political views are blurred, it is refreshing to find that one who stands for good and honesty in the interest of others.

I have known Craig Morrison, candidate for Grant County Coroner, for 8 years. I have worked with Craig during times of loss for families in our community, including my own, and witnessed his gentle compassion and careful attention to detail. Also, while attending concerts at the park in Moses Lake or out of town, I have observed Craig in his tie-dyed T-shirt, being the individual that he is, yet holding firm to his character, personal values and integrity.

So, what can one learn from a guy who wears a tie-dyed T-shirt? It shows his individuality while maintaining his strong personal values. Craig Morrison is the man who will do that very thing for Grant County. I am proud to show my support for Craig as Grant County Coroner.
