MOSES LAKE - Tonight at halftime of the Moses Lake High School football game against arch-rival Wenatchee at Lions Field, the 2010 Moses Lake Chief Hall of Fame Board of Directions will honor their 2010 class of inductees.

Those who have been chosen as the newest class for the Hall of Fame are, honorary inductee Reid Baker, athlete inductees, Jordan Baker (Class of 2003), Dena Christensen (1995), Shalene Lybbert (1984) and Jeff Enzler (1983), and Hall of Champions Inductees, the state champion wrestling teams of 1959-1961, 1964-1968, and 1979-1980.

The Hall of Fame Gold Tournament and Induction Ceremony takes places tomorrow morning at the Moss Lake Golf Club, 1273 Rd. F.2. N.E.

A four-person scramble, the 18-hole tournament will begin at 8:15 a.m.

Baker is credited as the "driving force" behind the volunteer project that produced the 8,000 square foot Team Room that fills the south end of the Lion's Field stadium.

He took the project on, enlisting volunteers and tradesman to make the project go which ended up with four locker rooms with showers, toilets and drinking fountains, two coach rooms, two training rooms, a referee's room and an office. The Team Room enabled the facility to host large football and soccer teams, and also allowed for multiple games to be played back to back because several teams could be allowed have their own dressing facility.

Baker was standout football and basketball player for the Chiefs, named an All State defensive back, who recorded five interceptions his senior year.

He helped the Chiefs' defense set school records for least points given-up in a season (70), most shutouts (three) and most wins (10). He was named Big 9 co-defensive player of the year with his teammate Mitch Reffett. The team ranked fifth in state and make the playoff quarterfinals.

In basketball, Baker helped the team to the playoffs, earning second team All-Big 9 honors.

Christensen earned ten letters as Chief, with four years on the Cross Country and Track & Field varsity teams.

She took fifth at state in the discus her senior year and set the current school record at 127'4".

Christensen was a district champion in the event and a runner-up at regionals.

Lybbert is one of the more decorated Chief distance runners in school history.

She set school records in the 800-meter run (2:25 that has since been broken by fellow Hall of Famer Jennifer Bannon), the 1600-meter run (5:07.84 which she set multiple times) and the 3200-meter run (11:46.5).

She was first in the Big 9 in the 1600-meter all three years of her high school career and was a state participant seven times between cross country and track,.

Lybbert was the team's MVP six times and was named the Big 9 Distance Runner of the Year both her junior and senior years.

Enzler starred for the Chief harriers in the early 1980s, setting the school record in both the 1600-meter run (4:23.9 that has since been broken by fellow Hall of Famer Ric Gamez) and the 3200-meter run (9:15.27).

He was a district champion and was First Team All-Big 9 in both cross country and track.

Enzler set the school record in the 3200-meter and earned a fifth-place medal in Class 3A as a junior.

He qualified for state in both cross country and track all four seasons both his junior and senior years.
