A Cowboy's Last Ride

If you had a horse that needed to be shod

give Gene Smith a call

he'd have given you the nod.

He would have been there as soon as he can,

cause everyone knows that he is the man.

He was a real cowboy of that there's no doubt.

Most cowboys will wonder and try to figure out

Which was the best horse that he ever rode.

There's sure been some good one's

that came down the road.

After some thought it wasn't hard to decide it was the one

that gave this old cowboy his last ride.

Gene's family has asked Carver Family Funeral Home to care for final arrangements.
