OTHELLO - A tough Central Washington Athletic Conference (CWAC) contest between the Prosser Mustangs and host Othello Huskies on Friday night was decided in a fateful first half.

Prosser (2-1, 2-0) built a 21-7 lead heading into the locker room and would hold on for a pivotal 28-14 win over Othello.

The Huskies (1-2, 1-1) trailed 7-0 before David Garza scored on a six-yard touchdown run and the game was tied at 7-7.

However, Prosser answered the challenge on a 13-yard Isaac Anderson touchdown run and his later, six-yard score to build their two touchdown cushion.

Prosser built the lead to 28-7 before Sam Para caught a 50-yard touchdown pass from Garza in the fourth quarter to wrap up the scoring.

Garza finished nine-for-23 with 120 yards passing while adding 27 yards rushing on 12 carries.

Caleb Garza led the Othello rushing attack with 67 yards on 14 carries.

Para ended up the evening with four catches and 77 yards receiving.

Prosser quarterback T.J. Finn ended up with 199 yards passing in the win.
