Juan Carlos Valdez, lifelong Moses Lake resident, passed away unexpectedly on September 16, 2010, at the age of 25.
Carlos appreciated very simple things. He thoroughly enjoyed watching movies and acquiring new additions to his DVD collection. An active gamer, he welcomed organizing and hosting tournaments with his friends. Carlos loved to cook, create, and share a new special recipe of whatever foods he could invent. He woke up every day with a smile and did his best to make the best out of what challenge or situation confronted him. Carlos brought joy to everyone who met him.
Carlos' last year of his life was an exciting one. He met Ashley Fisher and instantly fell in love. They were engaged to be married next month.
Carlos' love and devotion to his family was unwavering. Always wanting to spend time with his brothers, he looked forward to seeing and spending quality time with them. Raised by his grandparents, he did his best to watch over his grandmother over the last several years.
Carlos is survived by his grandmother, Maria C. Valdez; parents Fermin Cedillo and Amalia Valdez; brothers Davà Valdez, Jaime Cedillo, and Roberto Cedillo; sisters Andrea Cedillo and Amanda Valdez; Uncles and Aunts Juan Jr. and Laurie Valdez, Jaime and Kaylyn Valdez, Javier Valdez; Ramiro and Juanita Guzman, Bertha Madera, and Custodio and Cecilia Valencia; paternal grandparents Pablo and Ramona Rodriguez, numerous cousins, and fiancé Ashley Fisher.
Carlos was preceded in death by his loving grandfather, Juan G. Valdez, in 2004.
Funeral Services will be held at El Sendero de la Cruz, 2227 W Peninsula Drive, Moses Lake at 10AM Wednesday, September 22, 2010.
