GUEST EDITORIAL: Baker addresses advertising
MOSES LAKE — Please don’t be alarmed by the ad run in the CBH news paper, money is no object in the incumbents campaign. This ad is using Innuendos to suggest that Ron Baker is involved in a deception on campaign financing.
I have filed all the necessary state Public Disclosure Commission (PDC) reports when due. I have filed by mail, not electronically. The PDC files and reports mailed are different than electronic reporting.
I am not a member of the Citizens Committee for Public Power (CCPP). I do not know all of the members of or financial supporters of the group. My relationship with CCPP is simple, they requested that I answer a questionnaire prior to the primary election. All five candidates responded. The group (CCPP) reviewed the answers and decided to support myself and Rich Callahan.
A full page ad placed in the Columbia Basin Herald expressed support of Baker and Callahan. My campaign was not responsible to report ad costs to PDC. Rich Callahan ran the ad later at his campaign expense.
The CCPP group sponsored a fund-raising breakfast. The proceeds went to the Baker and Callahan campaigns. Baker campaign proceeds have been reported to the PDC.
I will say again, I am not a member of the CCPP group nor do I know who their financial supporters are.
Sure they have an agenda, but, trust me so does the Fiber Active Group and The “big money” behind Bob Bernd.
Everyone in Grant County must do their own investigation and find the real reason I am being attacked, and why they are trying their hardest to distract, and keep you, the citizens, from knowing the real issues facing the Grant County PUD because of mismanagement in every area of the PUD.
Vote for Ron Baker.
