Reader backs Dave Matney

As I complete my ballot, I am impressed by the excellent slate of candidates running for office in Grant County. Unfortunately, in many of the races, I have friends running against friends, and it has been a very difficult choice to make as both would serve well. I had to do some serious analysis in my choice for coroner this year. I mean, who doesn’t like Craig Morrison? He is one of the nicest men I have ever met! But having worked professionally with Dave Matney for several years, I have to cast my vote for him. He brings more experience to this position than any of the candidates over my 25 years of residency in Grant County. He is sharp, analytical, law enforcement trained, and a man of steel. If you haven’t yet cast your vote, consider bringing this excellent and well qualified candidate into the office of coroner. Thank you.
