MOSES LAKE - Northland Communications customers gave 584.5 pounds of canned goods to the Moses Lake Food Bank Wednesday.

The company convinced new customers to give by waiving a $20 cable installation fee, in exchange for 10 cans of food.

The donation represents three weeks of giving, according to Jarod Rollins, Northland's marketing manager.

They originally planned to offer the special until Thanksgiving, but may continue it until the end of the year.

Customers in Northland's Sandpoint office donated 300 pounds of food.
