WENATCHEE - It's a far cry from an 0-14 season for the Columbia Basin Secondary Phoenix volleyball team.

So far that a 3-1 (25-20, 26-24, 10-25, 25-16) loss at Cascade Christian last night hurt that much more for a Phoenix team that may have seen its post season hopes take a big hit.

The Phoenix (4-7, 3-6) are currently entrenched in a three-team battle for the fourth and final district playoff spot from the Central Washington 1B league.

"The girls really came back in the second game, but they lost it on a final serve," Phoenix head coach Terri Pixlee said. "They won the third game by a large margin and the fourth game was back and forth until about half way through.  We just couldn't put it away."

Jerinn Anderson had three kills for Columbia Basin Secondary, while Jaquese Hardin added four aces, three digs, and two kills, Emilee Hieronymus ended with four assists and two aces, Marissa Knorr chipped in with four kills and two aces, and Crystal Lloyd wrapped up a four aces, three block, two kill, and two assist evening in Wenatchee.
