Lila Goehring Haer

Lila Goehring Haer has gone to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 16, 2010 surrounded by her loving family.

Lila was born on December 29, 136 in Lowry, SD to Ted and Caroline Goehring, where she lived with her brother Harvey and sister Jenny “Tootie.” The family later moved to Moses Lake where her sister, Sharon was born.

Lila met Richard Haer while he was in the Air Force and later married on August 22, 1954. After traveling to different parts of the world with the Air Force and retiring in 1972, they made their home in Moses Lake with their four children, Robert, James, Carol and Debbie.

She worked for Carnation for twelve years and retired in 1984. Lila loved flowers, fishing and camping and playing cards. She was an avid Bingo player and sports fan She cherished the big family get togethers at her home where she would cook big meals, loving every minute.

She is survived by her husband, Richard of 56 years, sons Robert and James, daughters, Carol Haer, Debbie (Scott) Weech all of Moses Lake. One brother, Harvey (Bernie) Goehring, sisters Jenny “ Tootie” (Frank) Angelini of Ladson SE and Sharon Goehring of Moses Lake, 3 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Special friends, Angela Morrison of Moses Lake and adopted grandson, Owen from Mississippi.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an uncle a niece and nephew.

A private family celebration was held in her home. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the Diabetes Association or Moses Lake Hospice.
