EPHRATA - Slow starts in all three sets doomed the Ephrata Lady Tigers to a 3-0 (25-12, 25-12, 25-19) Central Washington Athletic Conference (CWAC) home loss last night to Selah.
Mary Asker had nine digs and five assists for Ephrata (9-7, 4-3) while Michelle Niehanke added nine digs and two aces.
Kendra De Hoog led the Lady Tigers with five kills.
"We really struggled converting great digs and passes tonight," Emily Petersen, Ephrata's head coach, said. "We had poor execution and small mistakes, that allowed us to get down early and we were unable to recover. Our defense was a highlight in tonight's game."
