Vicki Laine Keele Brown

Vicki Laine Keele Brown, age 49, a twenty seven year resident of Sierra Vista passed away October 8, 2010 in Tucson, AZ after a long and hard fought battle with cancer. She was born January 1, 1961 in Burnet, TX to H.W. Keele Jr. and Kay Francis Farquhar Keele.

Vicki moved to Sierra Vista in 1984 and proceeded to make it her home. She and Mark Raymond Brown were married in Las Vegas, NV on March 7, 1992. Vicki was very proud of her Revolutionary War heritage and was a member of the D.A.R. Tombstone Chapter. She served the chapter as Constitution week chairman for several years. She was also a member of the Huachuca Mineral and Gem Club and served as their treasurer for two years. She enjoyed creating jewelry and was a vendor at the club's annual gem show.

Vicki had many hobbies, including anything outdoors from hiking, walking her dogs in the mountains and bicycling to gem club outings. She also enjoyed genealogy, silver smithing, traveling and shopping. Vicki and Mark made an annual event of going home to TX for Christmas. She was well known in Sierra Vista through the organizations she was involved with, and she was the operations manager for the Cochise Health & Racquet Club and JR's Food & Spirits.

Vicki lived life to the fullest. Her smile, laugh, courage and caring heart will always be with us. She always led and is still leading the way. "Vicki, you are my heart and best friend" - Mark.

Vicki is survived by her loving husband of 18 years, Mark of Sierra Vista; parents, Jr. and Kay Keele of San Saba, TX: sister, Stacey Lynn Keele Dame (Steve) of Blackwell, TX; nephew Joel Martin Robbins of Dallas, TX; parent in-laws John L. and Bonny R. Brown of Sierra Vista, AZ; brother in-law Gil L. Brown (Lucy) of Bisbee, AZ; sister in-law Debra D. Brown of Sierra Vista; beloved pets Tia, Molly, Bo, Tigger and Tommy; and numerous other family members.

Memorial Contributions in Vicki's name may be made to the American Cancer Society Memorials, 2160 E. Fry Blvd Ste C5 #343, Sierra Vista, AZ 85635

Private family services will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are by the Hatfield Funeral Home of Sierra Vista.
