Western Polymer Corporation has applied for renewal of its State Waste Discharge (SWDP) Permit in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 90.48 Revised Code of Washington (RCW) and Chapter 173-216 Washington Administrative Code (WAC).

Western Polymer presently owns and operates a year around potato starch processing facility.  The process wastewater, following treatment, must meet the requirements of the Washington State Water Pollution Control Act and applicable regulations for a permit to be issued.

The Department of Ecology is proposing to renew the permit and is hereby issuing public notice of its intent.  Interested persons are invited to submit their name, address, and comments regarding this permit to:
