ACH playoff moves again

| November 27, 2010 12:58 PM

COULEE CITY - Once again the Almira/Coulee-Hartline Warriors' Class 1B state semifinal game on Saturday will change venue.

First scheduled for Gonzaga Prep in Spokane, the game against Cusick (11-1) and ACH (11-0) was moved to Moses Lake's Lion's Field for a 4 p.m. kickoff until the Warriors' head coach Brandon Walsh that a new site had again been chosen.

Now the game is at 3 p.m. at Eastern Washington University at Cheney.

"From what I understand the change in location had to do with the inclement weather and field conditions," Walsh said. "Originally the game was slated to be at Gonzaga Prep again.  That changed Monday because their field froze up and was moved to Moses Lake.  Yesterday we got notification that because of the snow and high winds Lion's field was drifted shut and with more snow expected later in the week, Moses Lake wasn't sure they could get the field ready for a game on Saturday. I'm guessing that this will be the last change as EWU is practicing Saturday before we play, so the field will be in playable condition at game time."
