Notice is hereby given that a Conditional Use Permit Application and SEPA Checklist were received on 3/31/09 from Kevin Weber (Contact: Joshua Lybbert, 500 Rd. A NE, Moses Lake, WA 98837); and was found to be technically complete on 5/27/09 (this project was previously scheduled for a hearing in 2009 however the project was put "on hold" at the request of the applicant). PROJECT: To establish a surface mine and conduct mineral extraction operations, including: mining, screening, sorting, crushing, washing, stockpiling, aggregate transport and all other accessory uses. The project site is located in the Agriculture Zoning District and received a Mineral Resource Overlay during the 2008 Comprehensive Plan Amendment Cycle. ADDITIONAL PERMITS: DNR Reclamation Permit, County Grading and Clearing Permit, Ecology NDPES Permit. STUDIES REQUIRED: Burrowing Owl Habitat Assessment and Mitigation Plan. LOCATION: The site is located in the NW qtr. of the SE qtr. of S. 15, T. 20 N, R. 25 E, W.M., Grant County, WA. (Parcel #15-1907-001) PUBLIC HEARING: Hearings Examiner meeting is tentatively scheduled at 12:00 noon, January 12, 2011, in the commissioners' hearing room of the Grant County Courthouse in Ephrata, WA. CONSISTENCY STATEMENT: This proposal is subject to and shall be consistent with the Grant County Code, International Building Code, and International Fire Code.
