Nic Anderson's new chocolate lab approaches a greenhead with the spirit of a fine new retriever.

MARDON RESORT - Now much cooler weather has arrived in Central Washington. We are seeing new birds daily in the Potholes Recreation Area. The sand dunes on Potholes Reservoir are producting many quality duck days for waterfowlers. One of my favorite parts of this time of year is simply putting a new labrador on some big greenheads and watching the show!

Walleye action has improved with cooler and higher water on Potholes Reservoir. Blade baits and swim jig's are showing walleyes on the humps on the face of the dunes, Lind Coulee, near Goose Island and at the MarDon Dock.

MarDon Walleye Dock Tournament

On Saturday December 4, 2010 the Meseberg Family will present the first annual catch and release Walleye Dock Tournament. This is a WDFW Permitted Tournament. The cost is $50 per person. No boats just dock fishing. We will begin at noon and competition will finish at 9pm. 80% of the entrance monies will be awarded to winning fishers. The MarDon Dock will be closed to other fishermen that are not in the tournament during tournament hours. Friends and family are more than welcome to come on the dock and watch the fishing. We will also have Mr. and Mrs. Clause in the Beach Bar & Grill located in MarDon Resort from 3-5pm and a Christmas Tree lighting at 6pm. Please call (509) 346-2651 for more information.
