Sandra L. George

Sandra L. George, 69, a resident of Moses Lake for the past thirteen years, died Thursday November 11, 2010 at Central Washington hospital in Wenatchee.

Sandra was born on March 22, 1941 at Browns Dale, Minnesota to Woodrow and Marguerite (Stephen) Probst. As a young child, she moved with her family to Castle Rock, Washington where she graduated high school. After graduating, Sandra spent the majority of her life cooking and owned and operated several restaurants. On July 14, 2001 she married Reginald George at Moses Lake where they made their home.

Sandra loved to go to the casinos, even winning on occasion. She also loved knitting, crocheting, playing Bunko, bingo, cooking and baking and organizing the bake sale at the senior apartments where they lived.

She is survived by her husband, Reginald George of Moses Lake; her children, Chris and Robin and her favorite son-in-law, Guy; brothers and sisters, Nancy, Barbara, Lynn, Diane, Pat, Bonnie, David, Bob and Joe; grandchildren, Kristen, Jackie, Courtney, Nicholas, Jonathan, Dillon and Stephenie and one great granddaughter, Emma. She was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Marguerite. Son, Scott, daughter Melissa, brother, Woody, sister Judy and granddaughter Melissa.

A memorial service of commemoration to celebrate the life of Sandra L. George will be held on Friday November 19, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at the Community Free Evangelical Church at 110 Main Ave E, Soap Lake with pastor Gordy Whipps officiating.
