Dorothy F. Thomas

Dorothy F. Thomas passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at Hospice House at The Chaplaincy in Kennewick, Washington. Dorothy was born in New Albany, Mississippi on October 14, 1921 to Mack and Laura Hall.

She enjoyed golfing, cooking and reading, but most important was spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by two daughters Mrs. Ann Smith of Sage Hills Golf Course and Ida Horn of Richland, Washington. Dorothy was from a large family of brothers and sisters located in Mississippi, Illinois and Spokane. She leaves eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 76 years, Daniel Thomas, in October 2009 and one daughter Barbara Pabst in 1988.

We want to say a special "Thank You" to all the staff at Hospice, especially the nurses and caregivers for all their compassion and support they gave to our mother and family during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers we ask that donations be made to Hospice at The Chaplaincy, 2108 West Entiat, Kennewick, WA 99336.

Graveside services for family and friends will be held at Noon on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at Spokane Memorial Gardens, 5909 South Cheney, Spokane, Washington.
