Mary Ann Weech

| November 11, 2010 12:00 PM

In loving and grateful memory of Mary Ann Weech, age 67, longtime Moses Lake resident. Sweet Mary Ann passed away peacefully, November 4th, 2010 in her home in Moses Lake surrounded by her family and her loving companion Eugene D. Wheeler. Mary Ann was born August 14th, 1943 to Norman F. Wiemer and Nina Rose Barnhard in Tacoma, WA, where she grew up with her five brothers: Daniel, Norman, Alan, John and David.

Mary Ann was introduced to William J. Weech by her brothers on a Pacific Northwest mid-summer day and they soon married and started a family. Vegetable gardens and berry bushes, fishing, camping, road trips and wood-crafting were a love and daily life for William and Mary Ann and their children and grandchildren. William and Mary Ann were together until William’s passing in 2002, in Ephrata, WA.

After William’s passing, Mary Ann traveled extensively with her best friend and companion, Eugene D. Wheeler. Her world opened up over thousands of miles across the United States, Mexico and Canada. Her favorite trips were The Grand Ole Opry, Mardi Gras and family vacations at Lake Chelan. Eugene and Mary Ann loved Mariners baseball and the Seattle Seahawks; they also enjoyed card games and classic movies on TCM. The Weech family will be forever grateful to Eugene for his loyalty and commitment to living life to the fullest with Mary Ann.

Mary Ann is survived by her nine children; Brenda G. Weech-Kask, William B. Weech, Melody F. Weech-Price, Sonia L. Weech, Scotty W. Weech, Kymberly Y. Weech-Simmons, Ronald J. Weech, seventeen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Mary Ann has joined her two youngest children, twins, Travis and Deborah Weech in Heaven.

What is remembered most about Mary Ann are the sacrifices she made for her family, her down-to-earth and humble nature and contagious SMILE. She was a talented artist-- winning awards and teaching others a perfect brush stroke. She was a servant to all things in the kitchen, as her cooking left every guest wanting more. Our family would like to thank those who shared in her life experiences, as she will be sorely missed.

Mary Ann continues to teach us COURAGE as we reflect on her struggle in the end, and she understood our pain as she quietly left us to join her Father in Heaven

~ PEACE ~
