He was born in Winthrop, WA April 15, 1916 the fourth of five children, he was unhealthy as a child and his sister says he died at age 19 and scared her when he opened his eyes and said Jesus sent me back, his parents and siblings always thought he would pass away early in life but he fooled them all by living 94 ½ years and outliving all but one of them. As a young man he served in the Coast Guard in World War II. Frank was small of stature, a pleasant and quiet man with a loud and contagious laugh. He could be counted to do the hard work that had to be done and the work was often accompanied with a song. He loved farming working with animals and toiling with the ground. He did work at U&I sugar factory for many years and retired from there.

He was the husband of one wife, the father of seven, the natural grandfather of 4 but adopted grandfather to many which has allowed him to be great grandfather to many more. He loved roller skating and taught others to do the same. Frank would be found in church on Sunday mornings and his favorite reading material was the Holy Bible.

If you visited Frank’s house you would be invited to share a cup of coffee and of course a sweet to compliment that coffee.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene, P.O. Box 1112, Moses Lake, WA 98837.
