Junior shooting program in Ephrata

EPHRATA - The Ephrata Sportsmen Junior Shooting Program will begin tomorrow for juniors ages 12-and-up that reside in Grant County.

All rifles, ammunition, and targets will be furnished at no cost and the program stresses safe handling of firearms and instruction is provided by an National Rifle Association (NRA) approved instructor.

The program will be held from 7-9 p.m. at the Boyd Mordhurst Range in Ephrata, off of Highway 283 East, approximately two miles out of town. Parents must accompany their children in order for the kids to participate.

There is also a need for an additional adult instructor so for adults interested in becoming an NRA-aprroved instructor or for information about either program they can contact Tom McIntosh at 246-8009 or William Merrill at 331-8999.
