Seven people hurt in collision

OTHELLO — Two cars collided roughly a mile west of Othello Friday night, leaving seven people injured.

A 2004 red Ford pickup rear-ended a dark green 1994 Pontiac sedan on state Route 26, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Francisco O. Villafana, 36, Royal City, was driving the Pontiac and slowing down to make a left turn when Arlena L Guiterrez, 27, Royal City, allegedly rear-ended his car. Both vehicles ended up on the shoulders.

The state patrol reported they would seek charges against Guiterrez for driving without paying attention.

Villafana and Guiterrez were transported to Othello Community Hospital for reported neck and back pain, according to the state patrol.

Riding with Guiterrez were three passengers. Consircio Martinez, 52, Royal City, a 5-year-old boy and a 1-year-old girl were transported to the Othello Community Hospital for reported neck and back pain.

Villafana had two passengers and both Juana Villafana, 33, Royal City, and a 3-year-old boy were transported to Othello Community Hospital for reported neck and back pain, according to the state patrol.
