MOSES LAKE - Hair opened at 4015 S Canterbury St. this week in Moses Lake.

Olga Babak is the owner.

The opportunity came along and she decided to open the new business, she said.

Rhonda Chase, Jessica Rundquist and Corena Bowman are Hair's stylists. They worked together with Babak at a Broadway Avenue location in Moses Lake, which was then owned by Chase.

Babak said her new business has the clientele build-up from the former location, but welcomes new clients.

Customers Bob and Joan Duffin were at Hair's new spot this week.

"We've been going (to them) ever since they opened," Joan Duffin said.

They offer haircuts, blow dries, styling, updos, color, highlights, perms and straightening.

"We love, love, love what we do," Babak said. "We're hoping this location is a great location. We're hoping we have new clients we can make beautiful."

She hopes being close to the hospital and community health center help the business.

Christina Villareal does laser hair removal, acne clearance and clinical facials at Hair.

Babak has been a hair stylist for seven years and graduated from the now-Evergreen Beauty School. Her first job out of school was at Perfect Look in Moses Lake and she later worked at Rudy's Barbershop in Seattle.

She found men are pickier about their hair than women.

She returned to Moses Lake and started working at Hair as a subcontractor.

Hair's hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
