Gang fight reported in Moses Lake
MOSES LAKE — A gang fight was reported on North Grape Drive allegedly involving a subject brandishing a handgun Thursday afternoon.
The suspects fled from the area while law enforcement was responding to the emergency call, Moses Lake police reported.
“While officers were in the area, four suspects were located in a gray Jeep,” police advised.
One subject in the Jeep fit the description of the male in possession of a firearm.
“(The) vehicle was stopped and all four were detained,” police reported. “Two firearms were located in the vehicle, along with a small amount of methamphetamine.”
The investigation led to the arrest of Jack E. Thompson, 55, for violating the Uniform Controlled Substance Act.
Police are filing a report with the Grant County Prosecutor’s Office for unlawful carrying of a firearm against a 22-year-old male located in the vehicle.
The incident remains under investigation.
