MARDON - Potholes Reservoir is in full swing for Post Spawn Walleye catches. Limits are coming in from the Lind Coulee, Crab Creek area of the dunes and Goose Island. The largest fish have been showing in the dunes. Best lures for walleye are spinners and night crawlers trolled behind a bottom walker. Some walleye fishers are reporting success on Rapala Shadwraps and floating Rapalas.

Smallmouth Bass are in their spawn cycle and the Largemouth are just beginning. With a little stable weather the spawn will proceed which will provide some amazing bass action. Smallmouth are hitting on Yamamoto Hula Grubs on flippin' jigs and diving plugs especially in a crawdad pattern. The best technique has been drop shoting with Sniper Bolts and snubs.
