My opinion of losing the executive director, Linda Finlay, of the Moses Lake Food Bank is a very sad situation. She has put in 29 years of building up the food bank to be able to feed our citizens of this community. She is a very caring person and always asked how the volunteers and people who came to the food bank were doing and if she could do more for anyone, sometimes at her own expense.

I feel Linda is the food bank and the food bank is Linda — quoted from one of the other Volunteers and it is the truth! All of the volunteers and community service workers respected and liked Linda.

This situation was one and a half years in the happening and was taken to the Moses Lake Board of Directors on several occasions, but the volunteers were shunned by the Board of Directors, which is a shame because who will be able to fill her shoes?
