Outages, damage reported from wind
EPHRATA — Grant County PUD reported most of its service area was affected Monday by the windstorm.
Power was knocked out for may homes.
Lines, poles and transformers were damaged.
The first outage was reported at 8:06 a.m. and as late Monday, 106 trouble reports were received, according to Rita Bjork, a PUD spokesperson.
Most of the PUD service area was affected, including Moses Lake, Ephrata, Warden, George, Coulee City, Winchester, Royal City, Soap Lake, Quincy, Hartline and Frenchman Hills.
Damage included trees falling in lines, uprooted trees and a tree falling down on a home.
Six spans of line were down at Road B NW and Road 20 NW.
Transformers were also blown.
There were no wind-related outages reported in Grand Coulee and Mattawa.
