Enid T. Seibel

Enid T. Seibel of Moses Lake, passed away March 26, 2010 at the age of 88 at Summer Wood Alzheimer’s Specialty Care Center.

Enid was born on August 13, 1921 to Ernest and Lela Batten in Ashtabula, Ohio. Her family moved to Wapato, Washington when she was young. Enid graduated from Wapato High School. She married Ralph Seibel on December 29, 1940. Enid, her husband and family moved to Moses Lake in 1959.

She was preceded in death by her son Glenn, her parents Ernest and Lela Batten, her brothers Bob, John and Ernest Jr, her sister Alice Wassemiller.

She is survived by her husband Ralph Seibel, her children Paul Seibel of Los Angles, Ca., Ralph Seibel (Rosie) of Spokane, Wa., Dianne Aldridge (Dick) of Vancleave, Ms., Rob Seibel (Cathy) of Moses Lake, Wa., Cheryl Shantz (Gary) of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Lyle Seibel of Pleasanton, Ca., David Seibel (Sandy) of Portland, Ore., Dan Seibel (Janine) of Spokane, Wa. She had 13 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Enid was a school bus driver in Moses Lake for many years and a seamstress for J.C. Penney’s. She loved to travel with her husband in their 5th wheel all over the states including Alaska, Canada and Mexico. They were involved in the Moses Lake Yacht Club, and Sandy Sams.

She liked to go to wrestling matches, ball games, camping and salmon fishing. She was on a bowling league and was a master gardener.

She was a dedicated wife and mother and loved her family dearly.

The family requests no flowers and wish donations to made to Summer Wood Alzheimer’s Specialty Center. The family will greet family and friends on April 10 at 10 a.m. at Bensons Funeral Chapel.
