Cone Bradford

Cone Bradford passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home in Marysville, WA on March 24, 2010 at the age of 89.

Cone was born to Linnie and Alfonza Bradford in Banks, Arkansas on December 8, 1920. He graduated from Warren Arkansas High School, then enlisted in the US Air Force and proudly served his country for 5 ½ years rising to the rank of staff sergeant.

On January 1, 1944 he married the love of his life Pauline Green in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. They moved to Washington in 1947. Cone worked for GTE for 29 years and retired in 1981 as an installation supervisor. After retiring they lived at MarDon Resort in Moses Lake for 25 years before returning to Marysville in 2005 to be near their children.

Cone was preceded in death by his father Alfonza Bradford, mother Linnie Crabtree and brother Adelle Bradford.

He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Pauline Bradford, children Jim (Shirley) Bradford, Susan (Bob) Banks, David (Jeannie) Bradford and Larry (Valerie) Bradford, 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, sisters-in-law Jane McCabe and Joan Balough, brother-in-law Richard Green, and a special nephew Jim (Buz) Michaud.

He will be greatly missed by his loving family. A private interment will be held at Machias Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice or a charity of your choice.
