Charles Alan Kendall

Charles Alan Kendall, 68, longtime Royal Slope resident died in his home Wednesday, March 17, 2010. Charles was born November 22, 1941 in Rupert, Minidoka, Idaho to Roy Lionel Kendall and Marion Estella (Moffitt) Kendall.

In 1957, Charles moved from Rupert to Royal Slope and has lived and worked there since. He worked for Dee Christensen and later for Bob Christensen in Royal City for more than 25 years. Charles enjoyed refinishing furniture, loved working on the farm, but most of all loved working in the Temple. He will be remembered for his quiet, dedicated, humble service for many, many years. He was a lifetime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully throughout his life.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, brother Lionel Kendall and his first wife Bonnie Kendall.

He is survived by his dear wife and best friend Rachel Kendall of Royal City; siblings Betty Loud Yeamon of Jackson, ID, David (Janet) kendall of Columbia Heights, MN and Joan Kemper of Hanson, ID; children Carmen (Glen) Meservy of Jasper, IN, Faye (Michael) Ray of Hornersville, MO, Ben (Kim) Kendall of Meridian, ID, Sherri (Rick) Bell of Rexburg, ID, LeRae (Mark) Kendall of Vancouver, WA, Paul (Clarissa) White of Ephrata, WA, Henri (Jesika) White of Virginia Beach, VA, Catherine Allen of Moses Lake, WA, Angelina (Derrick) Perkes of Kent, WA, Elena (Brandon) Goble of Orem, UT, Levi (Holly) White of Duncan, BC, Susanne (Max) Paterson and Joy White of Moses Lake, WA; 29 (+1 in April) grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, and many, many dear friends.

Viewing will be held from 5 – 8 p.m., Monday, March 22, 2010 in Carver Family Funeral Home, 1217 E. Wheeler Rd., Moses Lake, and from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., Tuesday, March 23, 2010 in the Royal Camp Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Bishop Ryan Christensen conducting. Vault interment and concluding services will immediately follow in Royal Memorial Gardens, Royal City.

Charles’ family has asked Carver Family Funeral Home to care for final arrangements.
