We have followed your deployment. We kept you in our prayers. We remember you were far away from home, in danger, serving your country.

We didn’t forget.

With your return, the yellow ribbon the Columbia Basin Herald display on the front page is being removed.

We kept it there to remember all of you. It helped us to remember the price paid by your families while you were away. It helped us remember how you put your life on the line to defend American ideals. It helped us to remember how our community was waiting for your return.

We no longer need it.

You are home and safe.
