Michael A. Cruz

Michael A. Cruz, age 41, passed away unexpectedly on March 15, 2010 in Kadlec Medical Center in Richland, WA due to a stroke. Michael was born to Marcos and Ofelia Cruz in Fresno, CA on August 29, 1968.

Michael loved his family dearly; he and Maribel were married on June 6, 1992 in Vista, CA. He will be remembered for being a wonderful husband and great father. He was well known in our community for always lending a helping hand whenever needed; he was such a generous giving person, many times to those he did not even know, he would still help anyone in need. He liked fishing, spending time with his dear family, and his job. He worked as a sanitation worker at J.R. Simplot for more than 10 years, and he absolutely enjoyed what he did. Michael was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Moses Lake and was also a member of the Teamsters Union.

He leaves behind his beloved family, his wife Maribel, son Michael A. Cruz, Jr., daughters Michelle Cruz, Monica Cruz and Miranda Cruz all of Moses Lake; his father Marcos Cruz of Fresno, CA; and many, many dear friends and co-workers who will miss Michael dearly.

Viewing will be held from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday, March 18, 2010 in Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Felipe Pulido on Friday, March 19, 2010 at 12 Noon in Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church will burial and concluding services immediately following in Pioneer Memorial Gardens, Moses Lake.

Michael’s family has asked Carver Family Funeral Home to care for arrangements.
