MOSES LAKE — The Family Resource Center in Lincoln County took over the contract to provide crime victim services in Grant, Adams and Lincoln counties.

The service contract previously belonged to the North Columbia Community Action Council but the state recently awarded it to the resource center, said Manager and Advocate Tom Bonnington.

The new Crime Victim Service Center office is located at 2900 W. Broadway Ave., in the Windermere Real Estate building, and can be reached by the same phone number the previous office was reach at 800-701-8385.

He said if people call the phone number, they will be connected with someone who will take their contact information. The information will be referred to an advocate who will schedule an appointment.

The services include helping victims of crime draft victim impact statements, assistance with paying qualifying medical costs, helping friends and family of a loved one who is a victim of murder or other crimes, explaining the legal process associated with crime and helping victims obtain mental health counseling if needed.

Bonnington said they are working to provide as much continuity between the two agencies as possible.
