ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID

The City of Moses Lake is seeking single prime contact lump sum bids for construction of the Moses Lake Civic Center, including Mechanical and Electrical.

The Moses Lake Civic Center will be a new building between the existing City Hall and Parks/Police Buildings, at the edge of the downtown core, adjacent to Civic Center Park. The approximately 41,000 square foot facility includes council chambers, administrative offices for two city departments, public lobby, galleries, auditorium, collection storage and classrooms. The Project is targeted for LEED Silver and employs sustainable strategies such as a passively vented and cooled common event space, sun shading devices, and makes provisions for a future array of photo-voltaic panels. The building will be two stories above grade, plus a basement, with a below-grade connection to the nearby existing City Hall building.

PRE-BID CONFERENCE:

A prebid conference will be held Friday, April 2, 2010 at 10:00 AM Pacific Daylight Saving Time. The prebid conference will be held at the City Council Chambers located in the Police Justice Building, 401 S. Balsam Street, Moses Lake, WA. Contact Jeff Floor Project Manager, Miller Hull, Seattle, for additional information; 206.682.6837.

This prebid conference is mandatory for all prime bidders. Only prime bidders attending and registering at this prebid conference will be eligible to bid on this project. Major subcontractors are encouraged to attend. Bids submitted by contractors not present, not registered, or both, at the prebid conference will not be accepted.

A sign-in sheet will be distributed at the start of the meeting.

This meeting shall be attended by representatives qualified to comprehend the contract documents for this Project, and recognize the probable or possible difficulties and opportunities this project represents.

BID SUBMITTAL:

Sealed bids are due no later than 2:00 PM Pacific Daylight Savings Time, April 21, 2010. Bids will be opened publicly at the City Council Chambers located in the Police Justice Building, 401 S. Balsam Street, Moses Lake, WA. Bids received after this time will not be considered.
