Albert Atsushi Miyasaki

Albert Atsushi Miyasaki 58, passed away March 9, 2010 in Henderson Nevada following a lingering battle with cancer.

Albert was born Aug. 18, 1951 at Rexburg ID. the son of Tateshi and Fumi Sakaguchi Miyasaki. He grew up in the Wilford area. He attended Wilford and Teton elementary schools, graduating from South Fremont High School. He attended Utah State University where he received his Accounting Degree.

He married Deanna Adams on Mar. 20, 1971, at Egin Bench. the marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on Mar. 18, 1972. They have resided at Logan, UT.; Salt Lake City, UT.; Wilford, ID.; Mesa AZ. Idaho Falls, ID.; Moses Lake, WA. and Henderson NV.

Albert was active in the LDS Church serving in various callings including Ward Clerk, Executive Secretary, Bishopric Counselor, High Priest Group Leader, Young Mens Leader, Scout Leader but his favorite was a primary teacher. He also served as Kiwanis Pres. in Moses Lake and Board of Directors of Horizon Credit Union.

He is survived by his wife Deanna of Henderson, NV., Children - Taunya (Stewart) Graham, Henderson, NV.; Tate Miyasaki, Parker, Colorado, Kamiko (Lysle) Oliveros, Houston, TX.; Miyeko (Carlos Aaron) Kelsey, Kingman, AZ.; and Noriko (John) Anderson, Tooele, UT.; Siblings - Roger (Cathy) Miyasaki, Concord, CA.; Fred (Angela) Miyasaki, Wilford, ID.; Dean (Judy) Miyasaki, Rexburg, ID.; Janet (Herb) Diaz, Salt Lake City, Ut.; JoAnn (Robert) Horito, Las Vegas, NV. 17 Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Mar. 13, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the Rexburg Center Stake 590 Summerwood (by the fair grounds) with Bishop Dean Miyasaki of the 21st Ward officiating. Friends may call at the Center Sake Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Rexburg, Cemetery.
