Reuben E. Schmidt

Reuben E. Schmidt passed away peacefully in his daughter and son-in-law’s home in Spokane, Washington, on February 27, 2010 surrounded by his family.

He was born on February 27, 1927 in Trochue, Canada to Fredrich and Elizabeth Schmidt.

He married Delores Lorraine Byam in 1947 and celebrated 57 years of marriage until her death in 2003. They had four children, Teresa, Steven, Michael, and Cathy Ann. They also enjoyed seven grandchildren. He was blessed with two great-grandchildren.

Reuben loved the outdoors being an avid camper, hunter, and fisherman his entire life. He was a trap and skeet state champion, a marksman, a highly rated aviator, and beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

A celebration of his life will be held on March 10, 2010 at 2:00pm at the First Presbyterian Church in Moses Lake, Washington.
