Popularity prompts second show

WENATCHEE — Tickets are on sale for the Sept. 8 Taste of Home Cooking School Show at Wenatchee’s Town Toyota Center.

Town Toyota Center General Manager Mark Miller said about 2,000 people are expected to attend the show.

The center holds up to 4,000 people.

The show features cooking demonstrations by culinary specialist Kristi Larson, a former Othello resident, and vendor booths.

“(Cooking) is something we do every day and puts a fun little twist on it,” Miller said.

Vendors will also have a captive audience and the show provides an opportunity for vendors to find new clients, he explained.

Tickets for an April Taste of Home show in Moses Lake sold out in a day and a half, said Lynn Garza, event organizer.

“It’s such an exciting event,” Garza said. “They went home with a bag stuffed with fun goodies and coupons.”

Doors open to the Sept. 8 event at 4 p.m. and the show begins at 7 p.m.
